V Day

Valentines day this year wasn't as elaborate as last years. No tent this year, but it was still a lot of fun and we loved spending it with our little love nugget. Noah said he wanted steak for V day so I looked online for steakhouses in our area. Steakhouses apparently cost an arm an a leg for a few ounces of steak so I bagged the going out idea and I bought him a 12 dollar steak at the market and we had grilled steak, chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus for dinner (Finn had peas).

Noah got me an essential oils kit which I've been dying to get. I'm really getting into natural healing with oils so I can't wait to use them. He also got me a Marvin Gaye record so we listened to that while we chowed down. I got Noah a natural shaving kit, now that I think about it I'm not sure why. He never shaves and I don't really want him to, I love his mountain man beard. I'm a terrible mom but I didn't get Finn anything. He already has a bazillion toys and the kid doesn't eat candy so I just gave him lots of extra kisses. Lucy got kisses too.

For dessert I made mini pies. For Noah I made his favorite, rhubarb pie with a heart on top. And for myself, I made lemon meringue with whipped cream instead of meringue because meringue is the hardest thing to make. We finished off the night with our little pies and watching 4 episodes of Parenthood on netflix (I'm so obsessed with that show).
