Our Summer So Far

It isn't even July yet and I feel like our Summer has been jam packed. It's been nice to get out and enjoy the summer sun, the last couple summers we spent mostly indoors because of Finn's tantrums. This is what we've been up to...

We took Finn on his first bike ride, we used his new Go To Seat which makes it possible for him to sit safely and securely in the bike carrier.

Noah got a hammock for Father's Day, which he installed himself (whoops) and we've been getting a lot of relaxing hammock time in with the occasional nap. Speaking of Father's Day, we had a BBQ theme.

Finn loves the backyard. Most of our meals are eaten outside on our patio. I also made Finn a water blob, it's nice and cool on a hot day and also is great for a sensory activity, it increases his body awareness and mobility.

Spending the day with friends by the pool is pretty rad. I think hammocks are Finn's new favorite nap spot.

Our new favorite night activity is watching movies on an inflatable mattress in the backyard under our globe lights. It's dreamy.

Fresh mountain air. There's nothing like it.

Getting stronger.

Lots and lots of swimming.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

And last but not least, we just returned from a trip to Cleveland, Ohio. We spent the week with Noah's family for his Grandma's 90th birthday. We played with the nieces, had breakfast in bed, did some swimming, a zoo trip and spent lots of time with Grandma. Finn loved her, she would sing to him when he'd be crying and he would be completely still and content. It was a good time with the Zemke/Polcha clan.

That's what's been going on over here. We're looking forward to the rest of our summer!
