Our Easter Sunday

Oh man, I love Easter. It's got to be one of my favorite holidays, and let me tell ya, It's even more fun with a little nugget to spend it with. Now that Finn is getting older and becoming more aware of things we've been trying to create more memorable experiences for him. Last Easter I don't think we did much but this year I wanted him to experience what Easter is all about.

Easter morning we got up, ate our Easter donuts and then got him all dressed up in his Easter outfit. He looked so sweet in his coral shirt, shorts and seersucker bow tie. I got super cheesy and put myself and dad in the same coral color (we got some funny looks at church). Then Finn (with dad's help) went out back to look for his Easter basket. Dad knew right where it was because we don't have very good hiding places in our backyard. In Finn's Easter basket was some Freshly Picked moccasins, a good read, a few tees, some toys from Grandma + Grandpa Z and a delicious chocolate egg (I would know because I ate it).

We then went to church but Finn was not having it so we came home a little early and went over to Grandma's to help her get ready for the big Easter feast/egg hunt! The Easter egg hunt at Grandma's is always epic. There's lots of cash, candy and toys, we always get hooked up.

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday. I'm so grateful for my Savior and for the sacrifice he made in my behalf. Wow, what an incredible gift! I hope I can teach Finn that yes, Easter egg hunts and chocolate bunnies are fun but that's not what Easter is really about. It's about the love that Christ has for us, and that's worth more than all the chocolate bunnies in the world!

He is risen!
