I'll Make It Myself

@

I've been thinking lately how much I dislike store bought household products. I hate chemicals, and do we really even know what they're putting in the things we use on a daily basis? I decided this weekend that I'm on a mission. We are going all-natural over here and we're going to make our own cleaners, laundry soap, shampoo, lotions, body soap, dish soap, baby wipes, deodorant (yep, that's right), medicines, etc. In fact I went pin happy this morning and found some great recipes for homemade household and beauty products. Not only do I find homemade products safer and more efficient, it's usually cheaper than store bought products. I think this little endeavor will help keep my family healthy and chemical-free. This isn't going to happen over night but I really want to start slowly making the switch to homemade goods. I think we'll start with homemade laundry soap and household cleaner.

I can't wait to have a more clean, natural home. To check out some of the homemade products I plan to make, check out my pin board, and if you have any homemade cleaners or beauty products that you've made, I'd love to hear about it! I plan to update my blog with great recipes I try out and love so stay tuned.

  1. I feel the same way! All these chemicals terrify me.
To add to your fun, try the oil cleansing method instead of using a facewash. Seriously, it worked miracles on my face!! And its so much cheaper than fancy facewashes :)
