The Professor is 1 Month Old

When people tell you that your children grow up so fast, they aren't lying. I cannot believe this boy is already a month old. I'm kinda sad about it actually because my mind can't help buy leap forward 11 months from now and I just don't think I will be able to handle it when he turns a year old.
The first 2 weeks of his life I kept saying to my self "I can't wait until he's a little bit older so we can play with him." or "I can't wait until he's older so he will interact and smile at us."
Then about a week ago he grew out of his newborn onesies and I quit saying things like that.
I quickly realized how fast this is really going and that I need to savor every single moment of this baby boys existence because pretty soon he's gonna be 5 years old and talking back to me.
Anyway, here are a few things we love about Finn right now:

he always sleeps with his mouth open
sometimes he needs to hold my hand while I'm nursing him
he needs to be swaddled, otherwise his hands start flailing about and he wakes himself up
he looks so cute in his big boy jammies
still love the piggy noise he makes (I hope that never goes away)
I've gotten 2 smiles so far and I can't wait for more
he hates the bath and being naked still
he loves to snuggle up with mom and dad
still an excellent sleeper
love his carseat
he follows the sound of our voices with his eyes
loves his grandma (she prefers to be called Nanna, but I'm not feelin it)

We had a little photo shoot the other day in honor of him fitting into his Professor onesie.
Isn't it adorable?
It was made my Finn's great-aunt Mikelle (she's only 26, so this just sounds crazy. Utah families.. I tell ya what.)

We love plaid as I have previously states many times.

We can't get enough of this cute boy

  1. What an adorable onesie! I was the same way about my daughter, looking forward to her reaching milestones and then I had to start putting up clothes that didn't fit. I snapped out of it pretty quickly after that. It's all so much fun, just enjoy these moments, each and every one.

  6. The bowtie is KILLING ME. And as my own daughter just turned one, I can tell you firsthand that it's quite the rollercoaster of emotions! Congrats on making it through the first month of motherhood :)
