Feeding My Babe

I had a small meltdown last night as I was bottle-feeding my baby boy.
We have been breastfeeding since day 1 but last night he was still hungry after I fed him so we topped him off a bit with milk I had frozen. And I realized how much I LOVE breastfeeding my baby.
There is nothing wrong with bottle-feeding but I just find so much joy in breastfeeding.
I feel such a connection with my boy when I'm feeding him. And as I was bottle-feeding him I started to cry because I missed that connection we have while breastfeeding.

And look how cute that boy is when his belly is full of milky goodness.

Have a great weekend!
I think me and Noni (have I explained that this is Noah's nickname given to him by my little cousin? You've probably been wondering who this Noni person is. It's the hubs, no worries) are going to drop the babe off at Grandma's and get some dinner.
A nice night on the town.

  1. Trust me...I know how heartbreaking it is! I wasn't producing nearly enough for Stella, (my milk didn't come in until day TEN) and I was never able to get her full, so I had to bottle-feed since basically the beginning. Breastfeeding is so much more enjoyable. You are not alone!
Good luck with your first outing without baby. I still get sad every time I leave her, even if its only for 30 minutes haha! Enjoy date night!!

  2. I love the "milk drunk" faces babies make after they are full of milk.

  3. Enjoy your evening to yourselves! He is a cutie :)

  4. I know exactly what you mean. I loved nursing, and when your eyes meet, oh my gosh the sweetest thing ever.
