6 Scrumptious Recipes That Call for Cookie Butter

Sad truth. We don't have Trader Joe's here in Utah. (UPDATE: We got a Trader Joe's in Salt Lake City, just down the street from us, score!!) I know, you feel terrible for us. I feel the same. So obviously I had never heard of this magic Cookie Butter up until about a month ago when my aunt told me about it. Anything with "cookie" in the title I absolutely have to try so she was kind enough to send a jar from sunny California.
Oh my. So good.
There are so many delicious ways to enjoy this decadent treat. On pretzels, cookies, celery, bread, or even from the spoon.
So this got me thinking, how about we cook with it. I searched for recipes the call for cookie butter and found some excellent options. I haven't tried any of these recipes yet but as soon as I get back into cooking (still going through the new mommy frozen dinner faze) I'm making these delicious goods.
Baked Cookie Butter Oatmeal. This past week I've actually been putting a couple spoonfuls of cookie butter in my oatmeal and my is it good but this looks even better. Baked!
Cookie Butter Fudge. Fudge. Who doesn't love fudge? I can't even imagine how delicious this is. And it only calls for a few ingredients. Sweet.
Cookie Butter Funfetti Triple Chip Bars. This is the first cookie butter recipe I found. It's packed with so many deliciously unhealthy things. Can't wait to make them.
Cookie Butter Granola Bars. I live off granola bars so this will be a new staple in my array of food choices.
Vanilla Bean Cookie Butter Cup Cupcakes. Cupcakes are a hot commodity these days. Can you even imagine this? There's a freaking chocolate cookie butter cup in the middle of those bad boys.
Creamy Cookie Butter White Chocolate Banana Smoothie. I'm not big into bananas so I'd probably leave them out of this smoothie and probably add more cookie butter! So healthy.
If you live by a Trader Joe's, lucky you, now go get some Cookie Butter. If you don't, like me, I'm so sorry. You'll have to buy it off of amazon.com or something cause you have to try it.

TJ cookie butter is available but I think they are controlling their supply in the US. I asked few of their crewmembers at my local TJ, and they said they will have 1 case everyday. You can ask a manager to give you from their office, they are controlling it because it is a highly prized commodity. They is a shortage of the cookie butter all over the world, and even in the United States. I am surprised that some of the people are taking advantage and selling on the black market 3 times the regular price. I am not kidding.
ReplyDeleteThis is really great on toasted bread, crackers, or making baked goods.
Everything with TJ Speculoos and other brands sell well. That's the craze and trend in the food world.
