Maternity Photos and Thoughts on Meeting My Boy

I am beyond thrilled with how these photos turned out. We had the privilege of having the marvelously talented Lindsey Stewart from Green Apple Photography come to our home and take some photographs of us and the growing bump.
I'll be honest, I'm not the most photogenic person, but she really knows how to capture people in their raw element and she always makes us feel so comfortable and relaxed. She also took the photographs for our wedding and they turned out outrageously superb as well. She has a gift. Period.
If you are in the Salt Lake/ Utah County area and need an uber-talented photographer, Lindsey is your gal.
Feast your eyes on these bad boys.

I had a moment today. I was watching my little boy squirm around inside my belly and I started to tear up. There is actually a human inside of me and he is my son, and he's going to be here in a couple of weeks.

It hit me, I'm ready.

I'm ready to meet him. I'm so ready to see his little face for the first time and give him kisses. I'm ready to be his mom and teach him and watch him grow.

I'm just so ready.

Noah and I were talking tonight about how excited we are for him to arrive. We can't wait to be his parents. Although this world is scary and there is so much that could potentially hurt him, we feel privileged to be the ones that get to teach him and be good examples for him.
I also realized today how much I want to remember this time. It's so perfect. Waiting anxiously for my boy to be born. Packing the hospital bags. Getting all of his necessary things ready for him. Just knowing that any day now the contractions could start and I could be on my way to the hospital is so exciting.
I love this time of preparation and waiting.

I'm ready for you Finn. I'm ready to be your mama. I won't be perfect, but by golly I will do my best.
I love you son, and I can't wait to meet you.

Hurry quick, we're getting antsy over here!
