Finndrome
It's official. This is Finn's diagnosis. I kid. I have to joke to keep from going completely bat crazy, you know? But things with Finn are still very unclear which is frustrating what with all the tests and doctors visits. All the doctors and nurses at the pediatrician's office now know Finn and are completely bewildered by him and his "Finn-ness.". And now the medical community is up in arms trying to figure out what his condition could be. All while I sit back and kind of chuckle because I know this boy and I feel like he's just being Finn. Which is all on his own terms. And even if there is something wrong, so what, his chubby cheeks will remain quite kissable and that's all I need.
Although, we did have an EEG test done 2 weeks ago that checks for seizures. The results came back abnormal which is somewhat of a concern even though the results didn't look like a normal seizure read would look. There isn't really any indication that he is having seizures but the doctors have suggested that he be on seizure medication as a precaution. So the little Finneus is on seizure meds and we have an appointment with a geneticist tomorrow to talk about possible syndromes... oh boy.
Me and Finny are twins! Woo Hoo! Even though it's kind of sad. We still are! Seizure Medication twins! Haha(:
ReplyDeleteI'm on Trileptal (Oxcarbazepine) What is he on?
ReplyDeleteFinn is on Topomax.
DeleteDid you come up with that diagnosis yourself? Because I love it! He is so cute...I can't wait to hold him again - hopefully soon! He needs to get better so that he can be Stella's boyfriend. She is just waiting very patiently! :)
